Get An IPad Case To Protect Your Investment

August 19th, 2010

What is the Best iPad Case to Buy?

There are a wide variety of iPad cases, sleeves and covers out there. Which kind of cover you are going to want for your iPad depends on your personal taste, what your going to be using your iPad for, and where you are going to be taking it.

The first part of this iPad case review will be about the Neoprene cases that are out there. I personally tend to like these about the best. I use one for a netbook that I own and I have found that it does a great job of protecting it. If you travel, then a Neoprene iPad case may be the best decision because of their durability. It is the same material used in wet / dry suits not that it is going to be waterproof (since it will not be) but you will know that it can put up with a lot. In addition to being durable they are also affordable and stylish at the same time.

Next up are leather iPad cases. You can find a pretty wide variety of leather cases, if you want a good one they’re going to cost more than a good Neoprene case, but I’ve gotta say, they look pretty slick. Plus, if you really don’t want to pay much, but still want an actual case instead of a sleeve, you can get one for around 15USD. For comparison, you can get a good Neoprene case for about 35USD, and a good leather case for about 60USD. If your planing to get a top quality case to protect your iPad, and want to take it along during business of any kind, I’d recommend you take a look at the Tuff-Luv Multi-View Nappa Leather case. In general, leather cases provide some of the greatest variety, especially in high end cases. It’s certainly worth looking through the leather cases if you can afford to spend a decent amount of money, and want a good case for business occasions, or if you want to swing the other way and go thrifty.

Lastly, getting an iPad sleeve or skin should be a requirement when buying an iPad if you ask me. Most people will use their iPad in situations where it will be sometimes be sitting on a table. You do not want it to accidentally get pushed off of the table and hit the floor, right? For everyday use, we suggest getting an iPad skin to help give it some extra protection that is also low profile. Getting a skin for your iPad is much, much cheaper than getting an entirely new iPad, so you can thank us now or later – it is up to you!

We have reviewed the different types of iPad cases, covers and skins available. You can get the leather or Neoprene ones and either kind will give you the protection that is required for such a device. Protect your investment and you will be enjoying it for years to come for sure.

Find the best leather iPad cases out there to help you protect your smart little device.

Versatility And Fun With A Linux Netbook

July 15th, 2010

In the last couple of years mobile tech enthusiasts have had a lot to get excited about, and the netbook format is definitely a part of that. Low cost, very light, and energy efficient, a Linux netbook can do just about anything you can do at your office while your on the road.

Linux is the operating system, much like Microsoft Windows. The main differences between the two are that Linux is free, and all the software is “Open Source” meaning the programs are usually free and that programmers all over the world are free to join in and mess with the code, improving the product for everyone. Lots of great programs such as the Open Office project, an MS Office alternative, is one of these types of programs.

Linux is similar to Windows in many ways, as you use a mouse pointer and graphical interface to open your programming. More advanced users have the ability to use command-line functions, but none of this needs to ever be touched by the average user. You will be able to install all sorts of packages and programs that allow you to do just about everything your PC does now.

Most Linux netbooks will come pre-installed with everything you need, including a mail reader, messaging tools, media players, an office productivity suite, and a web browser.

Netbook hard drives are different from what’s in your home PC, because they have no moving parts. Using technology much like what’s in Flash style iPods, the drive is virtually shockproof because it has no moving parts. This means it’ll last longer as well and run a lot faster. The screen size averages at about twelve inches and wireless networking capabilities are usually built in.

Netbooks are a great solution for the road warrior who doesn’t want to carry a bulky laptop everywhere. These light computers will do everything you require without the weight.

By no means a full computer replacement, a Linux netbook is a good way to go for someone on the move who needs to quickly access their email and more on a low profile device.

Could The Smallest Laptop Be The Biggest Mistake?

June 22nd, 2010

Hard to glance at a networking magazine these days and not get caught up in the race to get to the smallest laptop.

Ok, so let me go out on a limb and say that I know why things are getting smaller and smaller as far as tech goes, but my question is do they really need to?

Funny how the televisions in our worlds are getting bigger daily but that we are demanding the smallest laptops possible.

We loved to walk out of the Best Buy with the television that needs its own zip code, so why are we so willing and able to let our laptops go all Dick Tracy?

To me the issue comes down to smaller may be better, but is smallest screen best?

As our technology grows, we are asking our laptops to shrink.

From a processor standpoint and from the point of view of the hardware, this all makes sense.

But is this the best decision that can be made for those of us that have great use for a great screen on our laptops?

The fact is that the hunt and the goal of the smallest laptop must come with winners and losers. And clearly, the loser here is the computer user that loves the big screen.

The graphics and the resolution performance on these smaller screens has never been this advanced, no doubt.

And then the question remains as to is that enough for the entertainment lovers that we really are?

So here’s the one million dollar question…is the shrinking of these laptops and the subsequent shrinking of their screen in the best interest of everyone?

To the movie lover and to the graphic artist the answer is a resounding no.

Welcomed and loved…that is how the majority of people who want these small laptops are approaching this new paradigm.

(If you love this article and want one just like it, with your best keywords being published to several thousand new sites, let two Madison Avenue Copywriters FINALLY enable you to get more Google traffic.)

There is a tremendous push on now to come up with the tinyest laptop. People everywhere crave the best tiny laptop and they crave to see just how tiny it can get. Unique version for reprint here: {title}.

Can’t Talk. I’m Looking For The Smallest Laptop

June 18th, 2010

Boy, the more the world advances, the more we need the biggest of some things (tvs, etc) and the smallest of others.

And when it comes to how we do our computing, everyone seems to be searching for the smallest laptop.

We all know the lame jokes about how size does not matter, but tell that to the R&D guys at the computer companies across the globe and expect less than a wry smile…because their lives are dedicated to making smaller and smaller versions that go faster and faster.

At least that’s what they claimed. Obviously, there are a lot of people like me, who love a small laptop for those times when you don’t want to bring your big laptop like when you are touring, Anyone who tried to open their laptop on a plane knows exactly what I mean, you open it and can’t really put the tray down, so you keep it partially opened, put in your movie, put on your head phones and bingo the guy with the bladder condition needs to use the bathroom. It’s a luxury but a smaller laptop is nice to have.

But understand, sometimes that means giving up some toys, like a dvd or cd. And usually, sound tone suffers a bit. But it’s not being used for movie night or to watch the Super bowl, so the things you’ll lose, shouldn’t matter. If I seem sort of stuck in the middle, it’s because I am. When all is said and done, my 15 inch mac book is just right for me, not to big, not too small.

For everyone searching for the smallest laptop with the most bells and whistles, your day is coming.

The smallest laptop is just another example of how big the world is on electronics. And isn’t that the fun of it all?

Yes, in this tech heavy world, the search is on to find the smallest laptop and no one will rest until it is found. For the best small laptops, visit http://www.spitzershos.com/ now. Visit the Uber Article Directory to get a totally unique version of this article for reprint.

Factors To Consider When Buying A Netbook

June 6th, 2010

If you find this article, chances are, you are are doing research for the netbook that you are going to buy. There are quite a number of criteria that you might want to compare when it comes to a decision like this, and this article will shed some light for you.

First thing first, make sure you fully understand what a netbook is. You see, there are distinct differences between netbooks and laptops is that laptops are more prominent and available than the alternative. The major difference between them is obviously the size. Netbooks, unlike traditional laptops, are typically very light, small, and portable.

You can separate your criteria into 3 areas, the most important being how much data can the computer store. While other aspects are important as well, the usefulness of a netbook depends heavily on its storage size. This is especially true if you have a lot of music, movies, and document files that you wish to access from your netbook at anytime.

Another important factor that you should think about, would be the RAM capacity. The amount of RAM will affect the speed of your netbook at any given time. You see, the larger RAM your netbook has, thefaster your computer will be able to go, and the more applications you can run on it simultaneously.

You are likely going to be looking to get a good price for your unit as well, but this can be tricky. You see, in this case, you might want to opt to go with a netbook that could be more expensive for the sake of its reputation and company that makes it. You see, you want a company that you have heard of, and a company that is willing to go the extra mile to make sure that you are satisfied all the time.

To find the best netbook that suites your need, there are definitely more things to consider besides the 3 factors being mentioned above. However they should give you a good start to narrow down your choices to just a few models. Then look for the reviews of the few models on the Internet, and you should be able to decide one that’s most suitable for you.

To find the best netbook reviews on the web, be sure to check out bestnetbookreviewz.com. There are information about netbook deals and netbook comparison there as well. These will be extremely useful information for people who are on the look out for the best netbook to buy.

What Are Netbooks Good For?

June 5th, 2010

For a long time people have had to choose between lugging around a laptop, or dealing with the limitations of a portable handheld device. Netbooks have filled the gap between the two — larger than handhelds, but smaller than laptops and much more affordable. They are amazingly useful for their size, but they do have their own limitations.

After years of having to choose between lugging around a laptop or dealing with the limitations of a handheld, the netbook was introduced to fill the gap. While smaller than laptops, they are larger and more useful than a handheld.

A netbook is often small enough to fit in a briefcase or large purse, while being far more functional than a handheld device. Due to their size-limitations, they are also limited in the size of hardware they can fit, and this helps to make them much more affordable than a laptop.

Despite their limitations, netbooks are very useful for many tasks. Word-processing, e-mail, viewing and organizing photographs, and viewing web-pages are all functions a netbook is quite capable of. Many of them have an integrated Wi-Fi receiver making wireless Internet access a breeze, and they often have built-in Bluetooth and webcams as well, which makes videoconferencing possible. They tend to have a much longer battery life than a laptop, and built-in memory card readers for transferring photographs or data.

Because of their size, they do have several limitations. A netbook cannot run games in most cases — it just lacks the processing-power necessary. They also tend to have smaller screens, which poses a problem for some, and they generally have less memory, hard-drive space, and sometimes they lack an internal disk drive. While these factors help to reduce its size, they also lower its price dramatically, making a netbook a very affordable compromise between a laptop and a handheld.

While netbooks do have limitations, they may be exactly what you need. If you only want to write letters or documents and access the Internet or check e-mail, a netbook may be just what you’re looking for. A netbook is highly functional while being ultra-portable, and it’s easy on the pocketbook.

Netbook Versus Smartphone

May 26th, 2010

The differences between a netbook and smartphone are getting increasing less as each new development is released. In fact, you will shortly have to look hard to spot these differences and then you will have a choice to make: one or the other. Which is best for you, and what factors should be considered in your choice?

The likely answer is neither of them will meet the needs of the other fully, and that these choice factors will best be met by what might be the ultimate amalgamation of the netbook and smartphone, whatever that might be.

When choosing between them and making a decision whether to purchase a netbook or smartphone you have several things to consider. Taking a very brief look at each, the smartphone is generally switched on since the battery will last days on one charge. That means no boot-up time and you are always ready to go. A netbook’s battery, however, lasts 3-4 hours, so you have wait until it boots up before you can use it – not much use for answering calls!

A netbook on the other hand has a full keyboard, and you write text a lot quicker than using a smartphone. There’s no contest if you write letters a lot during the day and perhaps access spreadsheets. The netbook also wins hands down on net browsing. While the smartphone is fine for occasional internet access, the small screen can be a pain if you use it regularly.

To be honest, your decision as to whether to use a smartphone or netbook will be dictated by whether or not you use your phone predominantly as a cell phone and occasionally use some of the apps it offers. In such a case then the smartphone is the smart choice. However, if your internet browsing is more than just casual, and if you use office applications such as a word processor and spreadsheet frequently, then get yourself the netbook. You can use it for calls when it is switched on and get a cheap pay-as-you-go for incidental calls.

If you don’t go that way, then you will not get the best use out of either. It is far better to have two devices that meet your needs exactly than one that is a compromise and offers you only partial functionality for your total needs. If you already have a smartphone, then get a netbook as well, and you can always sell or change your smartphone for a less expensive alternate cell phone. If you have a notebook, then forget the smartphone – all you need is the same inexpensive PAYG that you can top up when needed.

No doubt the time will come when the two become the same: a bulky phone/netbook with long battery life and a good-sized screen and keyboard. In fact, as inferred earlier, the technology is already there with some of the newer advances in e-readers, and it won’t be long before compact becomes laptop simply by rolling out the various extensions.

The technology is currently available to combine the two – e-reader technology has come up with the roll-out screen that can be applied to keypads – but it has not yet been decided to combine them into a comprehensive all-encompassing netbook/smartphone. Until that day comes you have the choice to make: netbook or smartphone – which is for you?
